Does anyone know if the 2006 Grand Prix with the Monsoon system has 2 factory amps? I replaced the head unit with a 3300BT and the doors and deck with Orion Cobalt but it sounds like crap. I used a GMOS-04 for the head until and everything powers up fine just sounds bad, and with the head unit all the way up at 40 the sound is still low compaired to the factory stuff and very distorted. Any ideas??

Could be a lot of things. The gmos-04 could be defective or maybe you didnt set the gain on the gmos-04 itself. It could be that the factory speakers are a different ohm rating than the cobalts you put in causing the amp to make less power.

You need a GMOS-01.
