My client asked me to replace an aftermarket AM/FM Cd in their T&C which I did, despite the fact that the battery was dead (their request). After completing the service on this rental unit, they called me to remove the factory radio hung under the dash. This I also did. When the new battery was installed the radio lit up but no one was home. Since then, I have done the work and found out that the radio was needed to turn on the infinity amps. They 86ed the old radio and I have not been able to come up with an AMp turn on work around. Anyone had any success there.

Look for a Gray/green wire in the vehicle plugs (it's usually in the black plug at the end).  This is the factory amp turn on wire.  If the head unit you are working with does not put out 12 volts to this wire when the head unit is on, you can disconnect it from the head unit and hook the Gray/green wire to 12v switched power and it should work.

Grey/Green behind the radio is actually the factory amp ground.  There is a GREEN/ grey wire in the driver and passenger kick panels that are actually the factory amp turn on leads.  You need to use a relay.

85 - remote wire from aftermarket radio

86 - Grey/Green behind radio

87 - 12v

30 - GREEN/ Grey in either kick panel

Does this require only one GREEN/ grey from either kick panel or should I connect both wires from each kick panel to the relay?
