Hi ivant2, my preference for sound quality is a sealed enclosure. Venting a sealed enclosure through the rear deck in your vehicle works very well.

Obviously not to scale, here's an example:

hmm that design looks pretty good  however one other question. apperance , meaning what can i do to make it look competion quality. also another thing to add how can i go about getting my mecp certs? and i have found out how to get a hold of the test whoever not a hold of study material for it. it would be greatly appreicated.

Hi ivant2, the drawing is a just a general idea of the enclosure. The shape can be pretty much whatever you desire when you build it and the box itself doesn't need to be exposed. You can fabricate it out of fiberglass, MDF, Plexiglass, or even Birch plywood if you choose and It can be hidden by custom panels upholstered in your choice of material(s).

You're only limited by your imagination and pocketbook. posted_image

As far as getting ready for your MECP certification, order their study guides (although having the test should be a plus already). You can order them here:(703) 907-7689 or https://www.ce.org/pdf/mecp_study_guide_form.pdf

the12volt is absolutely correct.  in  a t-bird you should have very little problem designing a boc to fit on the trunk parcel ledge.  A good heads up for future posting....let us know what size subz you have.  peace

well im presently looking at a  3/8 inch tempered glass rear face plate for the subs. and they are 12 in dvc image dynamics. my question is how much will this tempered glass hold if i  use the mtx 8100d with 2 batts with it. im alos planning on using the mtx 6304 for mids and highs which i plan on using  diamond audio hex's. im also looking at making possibly a  tempered glass cover for the amps or make them plexey with 2 cheater fans. whats your take on this. and money is not a issue.
