Are the soundstream rubicon amps worth a hoot compared to the reference series? I am considering buying a rubicon 1002 for my 3 JL 12 w3's because I can't find a reference class a 1000 watt amp. Just want to make an educated decision before I blow the cash. I also hear that the rubicon amps really use a lot of power. Is that true? If you have any other suggestions of an amp of this quality that won't kill my wallet let me know. I am looking to spend 500 bucks max. Thanks

from what i hear the rubicons dont hold a candle to the reference series but i havent used one. there are alot of the rubicon 1002 amps on ebay as well as reference amps good luck....
