Like the title says, I want to add an EQ with my front speakers which are amped already. Problem is, I'm not sure how, or if it's really possible. My amp is an old school Jensen A1000, and the EQ is an old school Realistic (Model number unknown) 40-watt 7-band (pic attached at bottom). I couldn't find any info on google because I don't know anything about the EQ, but I do know it has speaker-level inputs and outputs - no place for RCA jacks anywhere, so if anyone knows, I would like some info on how to install it with my speaker amp (if possible) and which side is the input, and which is the output. Be nice, this is my first EQ addition. lol

That is a booster.  It takes speaker level input and slightly amplifies it. It is not a pre-amp level device.  You will not be able to use that device on your system.

Okay, I had a feeling that might be the case, but thought it was worth a try. Thanks.

DAYUHM, dude! Where'd you get THAT relic? I sold those pieces of garbage when I was in high school, some 27 years ago! LOL IIRC that one was, like, $40.00! Does it even still WORK?

BTL to BTL wiring, it is a booster, and only two channels. DO NOT connect any speaker lead in any way, shape or form, to chassis ground, it'll pop SO fast! You COULD, I suppose, run your speaker levels from your deck into it, and run a line-out converter on the output side, but it's gonna be NOISY! If that thing has a 60dB S/N ratio, I'd be surprised. Gonna hum and buzz and hiss all OVER your face! :)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

haha. It was my dad's out of his '76 Grand Prix way back in the day. I just found it in the attic and thought I might be able to put it to good use. Bt it seems as though I would have to desire a bunch of stuff and use that LOC that I'm not sure where is, and it may not even be worth it, so.. yeah. Lol

Is it a Kenwood, Pioneer, or an Alpine amp?  If you can find a raw din plug, I can help you build your own.  I have the Kenwood and Alpine pin layout in my head.  I am sure I can find the Pioneer info and pass it on.

Was this meant for me or the guy above you? Lol. Because my HU is a Pioneer DEH-3900mp but my amp is a Jensen. If it was meant for him, then disregard this. Ha
