Stupid question, but is the Kenwood remote wired or wireless?

You can use a Steering Wheel Interface made by PAC.  The PAC SWI-X works like a universal learninf remote, you wire it to the steering wheel controls and then program it using the Kewood remote.  Hope the kenwood comes with a IR remote.

I installed one and it was pretty straight forward, good luck.
