this has been boggling my mind. i have a 2009 altima 3.5 with a Logic DBX1004 4 channel amp. its 125 watts at 4 ohms 250 at 2ohms. I have Whip Audio speakers that are 8ohms each. I have 6 of these and i was wondering should i do all 6 or just 4. i have 4 wired up running in series with sound stream tws.4 tweeter (all four of them). they sound like crap and i hear whips before that were really loud. I need help with this parallel and series. i would not mind getting rid of the tweeters in the back. I just want the most optimal sound for what i have. I know resistance doubles when in series and halves when paralleled. I want to redo this but how. I also have a Logic TX4000D mono amp. would it be possible to run the interiors off this if i use Y adapters. I know im hopeless i appreciate your advice and input.

A couple things...
1) When running just the 4 speakers, do you have them each connected to a different channel on the amp or are they bridged?
2) What are you using as a crossover for the tweeters?
3) A mono amp will not run your interior speakers like you think. It is mainly designed for a subwoofer and USUALLY has a built in LPF to remove mids and highs.

no cross over for the tweeters and each set is connected to its own channel i mean the amp is garbage but i do have another one i can hook up if that makes matters better

Tweeter with no crossover = quickly burned-out tweeter.

You have your tweeter wired in series with an 8 ohm mid? Impedance only halves when speakers play the same frequency.

Get the proper crossovers and parallel the mids and highs.
