Ok, so I just picked up a 2002 Chevy Suburban and it comes with the dual flip down tv's with a vcr. Now the vcr will have to go but what my question is, I would like to replace the stock stereo with a flip out monitor and would like to know if there is a wiring harness that i will need to use in order to keep the stock flip down tv's working with the new flip out stereo. Basically I would like to keep the stock entertainment system add a aftermarket flip out screen and use its built in dvd player to play movies on the 2 other screens. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure that the flip down screens are factory?

Yeah, I actually tried them out yesterday with the vcr and they work great, the only bad thing that I found is that it works thru an FM station so here and there I got a lil static.

those tvs are most likely aftermarket if they play through an FM modulator. it might be dealer installer but usually if it comes factory then it will be totally integrated with the system. are there rca jacks on the back of the vcr?

Yes there are RCA jacks, your usual red, white and yellow. Well i was thinking there stock because i was looking at other cars during this purchase and I saw a 01 yukon with dual screens, same size and brand, and a buddy has a yukon xl with just one screen but it basically has the same set up.

There is no factory video option for this vehicle. The system is aftermarket. All you will need to do is re-route the RCA cables from the VCR to the new radio.

Ok, well I know this is a late response but thanks for your help. There was a huge mess of wires everything from 4 noise filters, 2 fm modulators 2 wireless receivers and tons of rca wires running everywhere, thankfully I had the patience to follow each wife and figure it all out, I instead bought a flip out screen and went that route for the dvd player. All in all it works, looks and sounds great.
