advice about 10 w7?

I just purchased a 10 w7 for my single cab S10. I've been reading up on power requirements, enclosure reccomendations, tunning, ect... , but it seems like everywhere I turn there's a total contradiction of what I just read and a whole new oppinion and philosophy of what it needs and how to get the most out of it. I want to hear from some people that have one and use it in a small truck with success in sound quality first, but spl as well. I have already ordered an amp and Im seconfd guessing my decission... I orders a kicker kx1200.1 . My sub is a 3ohm svc (ofcourse) and this amp is only rated at 300w @ 4 , 600w @ 2, and 1200w @1 , but from what I read this amp will put out more "true" watts than say a 4000w power acoustic demon series. I just hope I didnt waste $220...... So..... any oppinions on how to build an enclosure or what type of enclosure I can put in a single cab p/u without losing all my leg room (like when I had my 12 w3 in there) would be much appreciayed...along with what you think about my amp choice and any other advice. if i were you i would make a console box for that sub. i used to have a 8W7 in my extended cab ranger. i had it running off of an older hifonics brutus 1600 and it worked just fine. your kicker will push it but i am a fan of having more power than rms especially when you have a good sub like a W7.

how did you plan on positioning the sub behind the seat because that sub has a lot of depth to it? how much space do you honestly have to work with behind your seat? i had my 8 in about 1ft^3 ported and it was pretty impressive considering it sounded like a set of 12's.
