So, I thought I did everything like I was supposed to. I purchased a kenwood BT-945u headunit and PAC OS-1 install adapter. After hooking everything up the stereo came on but no sound came out. I then proceeded to check wires and couldn't find anything wrong but when I unplugged the OS-GM9 plug while the stereo was still on and plugged it back in the sound started working, so I was all excited and put the stereo in the dash. Now last night I turned the volume up a little bit and the sound cut out again and then 20 seconds later the head-unit went into protect mode, which is my understanding that happens whenever there is a short in the speaker wires.
I've already checked my wires and can't find any issues. What do I need to do?

Also, my Tahoe has the rear audio control in the console. I've ordered a blank compartment to take the controls out, but if I unplug them the rear speakers don't work at all. So what do I need to do to be able to remove this?

Not compatible with vehicles equipped with an RDS radio. Is your radio the RDS version ?
