Hello everyone! I am having trouble with my Head Unit. My HU is A JVC model # KD-LX3. I have connected every wire correctly to my HU. Except my antenna power wire, because I do not have an antenna power wire on my HU. My vehicle is a 97 Ranger. My problem is that NOTHING works, it doesnt even come on! I have every connection correctly hooked up, and I have checked the fuse. All seems to be good, but I will hand it over to the good ol' 12volt to help me out!

Bump, I need this answered A.S.A.P! It would be great help if you even gave me the slightest clue on what to look for.

Have you checked the power and ground wires for proper voltages: constant 12v, switched 12v, and your ground connection. I would start there, you may have blown a fuse somewhere else, or have a poor ground, Check them with a meter and let us know.

And all your connections are made the way they were supossed to be ?,did you connect your remote turn on ?,you got a good ground ?,your positive gets 12 Volts ?,try this and will deal with the rest later.

flaneledholes,

Just connect the three wires that Dan MC and Cletis said - just the Constant 12V, Switched 12V and ground (nothing else) temporarily to see if you can breathe some life into this girl.

If there is still nothing, then connect the HU's Constant 12V and Switched 12V together and connect it to a Constant 12V in the car and connect the ground.

I know this next part is going to sound stupid BUT triple check that you are pressing the correct power button... it's a hard lesson to learn but you'll remember it for the rest of your life. trust me posted_image
