I have wired the MB Quart FX1.1000 to a Rockford Fosgate

P3D4-12
Punch 12" 4-Ohm Subwoofer the sub does not get any

power...Heres the point i took the amp out plugged it in my

buddies car it worked...he took his amp and plugged it into

mine...it worked...our amps are not the same but are the same

wattage samge goes with the speakers...so this means all our

wireing amps and power supply are good...what could be the

problem...the only thing i can think of is the wiring for my

speakers are 16 gauge and the manufacturer suggests 12

gauge...CAN YOU HELP... please let me know if you have any

ideas on how to fix/try to work on this... I heart you...

so you took your buddy's amp and hooked it up to your wires in your car and your sub and it worked? but it doesnt work with your amp in your car on your sub?

what exactly is your friends amp? if his amp is a much smaller amp then its possible that you have a semi-bad ground or power connection that wont allow your amp to work properly but will allow his amp to run.

check your wires and fuses with a digital voltage meter at different points along your power wire. it should read the same along the whole wire +or- a 10th of a volt. check the voltage on each side of the fuse by the battery because sometimes fuses can look good but still be partially blown. if you check the voltage and get different readings then you have a blown fuse.

Sounds like low system voltage to me and one amp shuts down on low volts while the other does not.  Do you get a protection LED on the amp that won't activate?  What's your system voltage?  What's the voltage on the remote power lead?
