Hello, 12Volt community. As you may know, there are situations when you have a problem, but have a hard time explaining it using just text. For this, I have spent some time making some referance pics that "12Volt gurus" and "noobies" can use to explain what they mean.

Basic Stereo Head Unit Diagram:

Basic 5-Channel Amp Diagram:

Please note that the amp diagram is for a 5-channel amp.
~If it were a mono/block amp, it would not have extra RCAs or "channels."
~If it were a 4-channel amp, it would only have 4 RCAs and 4 channels.
~If it were a 5+ channel amp, it would have more than 6 RCAs and 5 channels.
~The big "+" means a Phillips-head screw.
~The big "-" means adjustable flat head.
~The "Ch +/-" connect to the actual speakers.
~The RCAs are used to receive signals from the head unit.

If you would like me to create another reference pic, please let me know in this thread or send me a message.

A nice idea, maybe this site could do pin out diagrams for OEM head units?
I get sick of jabbing probes into things like Toyota/Lexus to find the mute when I'm installing Bluetooth kit.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
