I have a 1989 honda accord LX 4 dr.

The power antenna unit bent and broke over the winter.

I hhave a manual unit to install, but I cannot get the power mast out of the

a-pillar,

HOW can I get it out of there....??

a-pillar? Last time I checked the power antenna motor/assembly was located in the trunk....  There should be retaining nuts/rings on the inside that you must unscrew before being able to remove the assembly.  You'll also have to remove whatever screws are supporting the motor itself--otherwise you won't be able to pull the assembly down far enough to have whatever of the mast remaining clear the body opening.
