Sure, you can use those speakers and that head unit.  If you want more bass I suggest adding a subwoofer.

Balance to the left or right. Does it have more bass with only one speaker playing?

I assumed the kit to wire the factory plug in would be correct. I assumed wrong and corrected the speaker wiring. It sounds a little better but could use a lot more improvement, bass is still not good. I think my biggest problem now is that the speakers are in a free air environment and not in some type of box.???
