Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram Megacab. I have purchased the following AMP and Subs.

1 - Kenwood Excelon X700-5 - 5 channel car amplifier — 40 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms + 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
2 - Kenwood KFC-W2513PS 10" 2000W Peak 600W RMS 4 Ohm SVC sub
2 - Kenwood KFC-P709PS 6-3/4 80 Watts RMS (240 PEAK) compenent speakers.

The back seat of the Megacab reclines which I would like to keep.

So my question is,

If I make a wedge type box with the correct air space sealed - will it have any affects on the sound quality say if I just made a normal 'square' box?

I am installing this on Friday. I figured if the box itself has the correct air space.. should be ok correct?

The box I would me making to make the seats fold down still would be this.

The shape of a subwoofer enclosure generally makes no difference in how it performs.

To increase the limited amount of space I think I'll have with the seats recliened... I wonder if I could use 1/2 MDF for the box.. but my concern would be countersinking the screws. I think this would be an issue with the 1/2 size wood...

I'll probably stick to 3/4...
