Just a heads up, if you have a JBL amp that requires a Metra Tyto-01 harness, and the amp is beeping at you every few seconds. Do not waste your time bypassing the amp. Just look for the shorted speaker, and change out that pair of speakers. Apparently that is the indicator for the protection circuit of the amp. We bypassed the amp only to discover that there was a shorted rear speaker.

The beeping noise comes out of the amplifier itself. It does not come through the speakers.

If you unplug the amp you must bypass it. Which we did, only to discover the shorted speaker, on the last channel of the bypass.
