I have a problem with my bluetooth cutting my subs out when it gets hooked up. I have a kenwood double din with a eq and a alpine m1000. When i go to hook my phone via bluetooth they cut out but they work with the radio and cd...... Any suggestion

We need more info. As in do they cut out when pairing the phone or making calls. Is the Bluetooth built in to the head unit or seperate. Do you have the mute wire( if there is one) hooked up to anything.

The bluetooth is built in into the unit. They cut out when i start playing music through my phone. Finally the mute wire is not hooked up to anything. Does it need to be hooked up?

OK, so you're using the KCA-BT300 Bluetooth adapter?

When listening to BT audio, is the bass amp powered up?

OK.  So, if your phone supports A2DP Bluetooth protocol and is properly paired with the DDX418, it should stream music properly.  If on the other hand the phone does not support A2DP or is not on Kenwood's list of supported models, then the head unit may be cutting out the subs because it thinks the BT information is a phone call.  Assuming your phone is properly supported by Kenwood, if the subs are only turning off via the phone and they cut off every time you try it, you could have a setup parameter wrong in the HU.  I would try resetting the HU and setting it up again from scratch, and if that doesn't work it may be time for a visit to a local Kenwood installer for some hands-on assistance.

Sounds like a connection issue between your subs and radio and not the phone and radio.
