Hello i have a A12001D Class D amp. just bought it brand new. Also have a 1frad cap with a audiobahn aw1008x sub. Every time i connect the damn thing it pops a fuse. Its a 4 ga. wire and a 50 amp fuse. Also wheres another place to put the REM wire or remote turn on. My stock stero doesnt have one.

the 50A fuse is too small for a 1200W amp...you will need around 150A fuses for an amp that size...

Dam back button I hate erasing what I just wrote. But any way sounds like you might have it wired incorrectly. Dose it blow the main fuse when you connect the power cables or dose it blow when you turn on the amp? Also on a 1200 watt amp you would need a 100 amp main fuse assuming that is the only thing connected to your main power cable. But please explain how you are wiring the amp. As far as the remote wire goes if your head unit dose not have a remote wire. You will need to tap into a switched +12 volt ignition source. You should be able to tap into the one that turns on and off your head unit. If you tell us the make and model we can tell you the color of the switched 12 volt wire going to the head unit.
