Anyone know how deep of a headunit i can fit in a bmw 3-series?

As to answer your question meatbag, what year BMW? And what type of headunit are you looking for (MP3, CD, Video Screen, etc...). Why is the depth of the headunit concerning you? Most of the time it is the DIN size (height of the headunit) that plays the main factor (1, 1.5, or double DIN). I'm not familiar with BMW specs, but that info could help someone else help you in a good choice. ------------- Squirrel

Sorry i thought i gave enought nfo. Its a 2003 M3 with the standard radio and no nav system. I have a Pioneer DEH-940MP. I found a dash kit by scoshe that will fit a 1 din HU. I think my HU needs about 7 1/4 of room behind it to fit but most of the installers i talk to dont know and want to tear the dash apart to tell me. If it doesnt fit i dont want to tear the car apart.

wvsquirrel...... I took care of the posts that he left. Hey Meatbag, your going to have to take the dash apart regardless. If it fits or not. Most BMW decks are standard depth so I don't think your going to have to worry about that.
