I am installing an after market stereo into my van and I have a wire left over and that I'm not sure what it goes to. We installed the stereo once, were left with the wire, and it kept draining the battery (which is brand new)even when it was shut off. Then we installed it and it stopped changing the battery but would not hold memory. Third try we still have an extra wire and would like to be done with this already. We haven't been able to find any diagrams that show a wire this color and are stumped. Any help is appreciated.

It's a 2001.

Sounds like you hacked off the factory wiring harness? Tsk tsk. Next time visit the Application Guide and purchase the proper wiring harness adapter. Here's the page for your vehicle. The wiring color code guide is at the bottom.

I have checked there already and our vehicle is not listed.

Well the harness adapters on the page I linked to ARE the ones for your vehicle. But if you have hacked off the OEM wiring harness connector, your next step is to obtain or purchase an audio system wiring diagram for the vehicle and then, assuming you know how to read a wiring diagram, you can figure it out. Good luck.
