I'm trying to install a JVC stereo in a 2004 Chevy Malibu. I know all the wiring is correct, with the exception of the 12V ignition switch lead from the stereo. There is no associated wire from the car's bundle. The instructions say to connect the ignition switch wire to the fuse block. I located the Ignition Switch fuse on the block and tried to splice the wires, but still don't get power to the stereo. Any suggestions?

The accessory wire from the car is on the back of the BCM/fuse box under the center console. It is a dark brown wire near the center of the large connector on the back of the BCM. Connect the ignition wire from the radio to this wire. Connect the battery wire from the stereo to the red or RED / white wire in the fatory radio harness. Connect the ground wire from the radio to the black wire in the radio harness. Use a volt meter to check for power first to confirm the wiring.
