Nakamichi used to be one of the best brands available, but since their bankruptcy in 2002 I have not even seen any new products from them. They are no longer a Japanese company, they are owned by a Chinese holding company now, so if these are new products they might or might not be as high quality as the brand used to offer. I would bet on "not." -------------Support the12volt.com

Yeah I think I will keep the W6's, I bought them not long ago, I really didnt know anything about the original W6's when I bought them. I paid $250 for the 3 10" W6's in a sealed box with a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X520 amp, I guess I did pretty good. The amp was really underpowering them and since I have hooked a bigger amp to them I have been really impressed with the JL Audio's. I have never had any JL Audio speakers till I got these, I always had older Kicker's, Earthquake and Orion subs. I have been out of touch with the audio game since the mid 90's. Things have changed alot since then, there are alot of companies out there that I never heard of before.
