My buddy owns a 91 buick grandmaster station wagon, he goes to put in a CD in the Stock CD player, and it just reads an error message, and then it goes to the radio, i thought maybe the lens was dirty so i let him borrow my lens cleaner, he says he has the same problem, is there any suggestions on what he can do??

Is he trying to play burned or store bought CD's? If he’s playing normal store bought cd's and they wont read then there is not much he can do. He can try to get that unit repaired, but with the price of new ones so cheap I would not recommend repairing it just replacing it with a new aftermarket unit.
