now. haha.. I'm having a good chuckle just thinking about this. hm.

I know this isn't recommended. *nods* but. I got two Sony xmd9001gtr's laying around. hehehe!

thinking about seeing if they'd run strapped. just at a 4 ohm load.

I've had run this amp at 0.5 ohms on a pc power supply and it would operate at low volume... but at low-middle volume the amp would go into protect. well I shorted it on one side and ran a sub on the other. just bored and it did go into protect at mid volume. but I think if it had the juice it would have stayed on. ... if it would have survived is another story.

seriously considering testing them at 1 and 0.5 ohm and if they hold together, then try strapping them.

is there any reason it shouldn't work, atleast for a little while? should I make the master-slave bridge + to - or the traditional - to - I wonder.

I ran reverse polarity through one of the amps at the power terminals and blew all the fuses once. I'm not sure what that means. but it still works fine.

I gotta say they're rugged for what they are. for what I put them through.

:D Yeah. I'm going to continue torture testing these. Sony outdid themselves on these amps. I gotta admit.

Oh Max, what a pity to blow such apparently outdone amps.

I suspect (LOL) blowing your fuses meant they did what they should do, even if reverse polarity usually isn't one of them.

Why not use a phase inverter (m-s bridge)?
