I have a dodge ram and I am ordering a custom box for under the back seat. The box holds 2 12"subs. Now I've never really had a sound system before so I'm trying to purchase one while not bankrupting myself. I've found two subs pioneer 12" 4 ohm peak at 1400watts. Rms at 800watts. The impendance is 4 ohms. The amp that I am looking at is not very expensive I know but I'm in school so not trying to blow money right now. It's boss cx750. It has 4ohms at 220watts at 2 channels. And peak is 800watts at 2 channels. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of thesee. If anyone has any better suggestions those are greatly welcomed too.

what is your overall budget for the 2 subs and an amp? not saying those are bad choices but you might be able to get something much better depending on what you want to spend. i know boss doesnt have a stellar reputation for durability so if you can afford a little more or maybe spend the same you can find something that will last you a good while so you dont waste money on something that will give you nothing but trouble. there is a reason why you never see an old boss amp...

also keep in mind that you will need to budget money for an amp kit and a line output converter if you plan on hooking this up to a factory stereo. the line output converter is not necessary if you have an aftermarket radio with pre-amp outputs.

do you plan on installing this yourself? i also suggest you keep in mine where you will mount the amp and buy an amp that fits in that spot, usually i like under one of the seats in a dodge truck.

I'm going to buy an in dash Jensen flip monitor or whatever you call it. No I'm not going to install it myself I have a friend that has his own little custom shop or I'll bring it somewhere I just don't want to get screwed buying the subs and amp from a shop. Finally yeah I think the amp would be fit greatly underneath my seat.
