i tried to replace my factory head unit and there is no sound.  it works, but no sound.  here's what i've found out so far.  i've found that the bose is integrated to all work together.  the speakers apparently have amps attached to each one.  i've also heard that the speakers are normally of 1 ohm.  i bought it at best buy and the guy said that it would work with an interface adaptor.  i hooked it up, but it still doesn't work.  i don't know if the speaker wiring is correct.  it seems like it's running two channels of four wires each, and of those four one is a shield.  can anybody out there tell me how this needs to be wired???
