I know that non-polarized capacitors can be used as a 1st Order HPF but is there anything else that I can use them for to my installation benefit?

Caps are useful for any number of circuit designs, but if you have crossover caps laying around, put them into a box and save them for the next crossover application. :)

can they be used to eliminate a turn-on pop or is that a bi-polar cap?

Turn on pop is almost always fixed using a 1k or 1.5 k resistor. Very common to need them with fords when adding an aftermarket radio and keeping the stock amp.

Bi-Polar = Non Polarized.
