I'm trying to install a jensen DVD player in a 09 Chevy Malibu. The problem is I looked online and its possible it might have a built in amplifier that I can't find. What do I need besides the antenna adapter and so forth.

2009 Chevy Malibu LS stock
Jensen VM9116 install

PAC radio integration harness

follow the link and pick which harness you need depending on if you have onstar or not there are different plugs. otherwise i dont think you have a factory amp even as an option, i dont know if malibu's have a bose system option but if it doesnt have any BOSE logo anywhere in the car then you have a standard system. if you have the bose system then you need the OS-311 to turn the factory bose amp on.

i think you can use a normal plug but you will have to run an accessory wire through a relay from a constant power source to power the new radio.

OK thanks for the info it does not have Bose but it does have onstar but its not being used
