Hey everybody, hoping to get some help with a strange problem I'm having. I am hooking up an antenna relay for an aux input with my factory radio. I bought all the pieces from a knowledgeable dealer. When I was hooking up everything it was pretty clear I had all the parts I needed.

Here's the weird part, I cut into the orange power supply wire to splice in the red power wire on the relay. I did a quick test to confirm power by just holding the three bare wires together. Everything worked perfect. Power to the radio, power to the relay and music playing through the the aux port. Then I went ahead and fixed everything together for good. I do a quick test again before putting the radio and cover plate back in place. Nothing. The radio won't even turn on.

I undid all the connections and tried the radio just holding the wires together and it still won't power on. I'm at a loss for what the problem could be. Anybody have any ideas?

check your fuses under the hood and inside the truck. something is bound to be blown. when you get the power back on you might need an unlock code to make the radio play again.
