so i have a kicker zr 1000 amp that is curantly pushin two 12" alpine type r's wired in 4ohm stereo working great but,.....i just got a box for my Kicker solox 10" DUAL 1ohm sub ( used to have 2 solox's wired 4ohm on same amp ).
So now i am unshure how i should wire just want to know for shur before i turn it on......im just guesing i need to run my amp bridged and my sub wired (option two in series at 2ohm load).....any help would be awsome normaly i would just take it to my installer but that will take a week.

Which speakers are you going to use?
Is this a 1 channel or a 2 channel amp?
What is the minimum safe operating impedance of the amplifier?

According to the information at crutchfield, that amp is 2 ohm stereo or 4 ohm mono stable. You can not safely run only that woofer unless you run the coils in series and use only one channel of the amp.

You got that backwards.......4ohm stereo 2ohm bridged.....its hooked to the type r's now 4ohm stereo.....but it will do 2 ohm stereo aswell.

kicker zr1000.. 250W x 2 @ 4 ohms, 1000W x 1 @ 4 ohms,
500W x 2 @ 2 ohms, 1000W x 1 @ 2.67 ohms,
350W x 2 @ 1 ohm, 700W x 1 @ 2 ohms.
as taken directly from kicker zr owners manual, january 1997.
