Hi all, I have a few questions on FM reception. I had a BWM 318ti with a factory radio and i installed a aftermarket amp and sub. when i switch the amp on my fm reception falls away. this also happened to my new Polo Vivo and New BMW 320i. I also had the same problem with a mirror that i installed with a screen and a rear view camera, as soon as the camera and screen comes on the radio reception drops. it ia almost as if the aftermarket electronics interferes with the reception. I installed a aftermarket navigation radio into a Triton and also experienced bad reception.

Class D amplifiers do use high frequency oscillation and are likely to generate RFI. Radio Frequency Interference. The cheaper amps are more likely to give you problems over Reputable companies.

ok, and the reception is also bad on navigation radio's, could it be that the radio screen or something in the radio cause interference with the reception?
