Has anyone made an odd shaped port, say like a triangle port in a corner of a rectangular box? If so how do you get the correct dimensions for tuning it? Should I try and calculate a square port and just cut that in half? .posted_image

The enclosure I'm working with is 1.5 cubic ft. I would like to try using two ports and tune it to 31 Hz..

Calculate the total volume inside the port and use a similar volume for a round port to determine your tuning. For example, if your calculations tell you that you need a 4" diameter round port 6" long, the volume inside that shape is 75.4 cubic inches. Then you make your odd shaped port contain the same volume. (Volume is calculated by multiplying the length of the port times the surface ares of the opening.)
