Never heard of any of those brands.

MOSFET powered amps are always a plus.

If you get a 200 Watt amp, and it's got a 5 or 10AMP fuse, it's not 200 watts..

If you have a 200 Watt amp and it has a 15 or 20 AMP fuse, then it's usually an indication it's a quality product. It's not true all the time, I can sell you one and put whatever fuse I want in it, but the manual will tell you the REAL size fuse.

Good brands?
Kicker, Alpine, Kennwood, Sony (for the most part), Pyle (for the most part).

There are more CHEAP brands than good ones.

i dont know about hiphonics but sundown is supposed to be some real power house amps, but i cant say for their sound quality, just depends on what you are looking for really? crescendo is also supposed to be some really nice equipment

I am leaning towards crescendo. I have 4 pioneer 12" spl subs. 1000 watts rms each. hopefully it works out.

Crescendo? Is that the stuff that Krazy Kileys in Regina is dealing now?

not sure, have not been there for 2 months, but did not see it. I know calvin brought some Italian stuff in, suppose to be some good stuff, but price was 2000 and up.

we have all the sony, pioneer, jl, kicker stuff. but I think we pay more in Canada than what you would in the states. anything over 1000 watts rms is costly. probably because nobody does it anymore. so when I see a crescendo or sundown amp that puts out 2400-2500 watts in 1ohm,for $800. I have to wonder if these are just spl(burp) amps and how are they with clarity. I like a lot of different music, i'm 45, I drive a Lincoln town car, and still want to feel like I am getting punched in the throught. but at a cost that is doable. so the fuse thing is just total amount of proper fuses x tested alt?
