I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with MTX Brand equipment (subs and amps). If any, what would be a better way to go. I am restricked on space in my truck (family butt hauler). Any comments/ideas would be greatly appreciated.:D

Very Simple:94 Chevy Silverado ext cab with, kdc322 head unit, kdcc719 disc changer, kenwood x689 excelon 3way 6x9's in rear, alpine 4x6 2way in dash, mtx thunderform sub under rear seat.

MTX makes pretty good stuff--kind in line with rockford fosgate in my opinion. Are you considering changing your setup from what you have listed in your signature? Or has the thunderform been giving you problems?

If you're just looking for a general answer as to the quality of MTX stuff, I'd say in my opinion it's very high quality equipment.

MTX amps are great amps, very reliable and clean too...

their subs however leave some room for improvement...I have used many of their subs for different applications and feel that they arent what they could be, considering the name and the quality of the amps...

When I wrote this I was ready to dump the Thunderform. But since then I have found the problem and it is working fine now. Once I fixed it it sounds very nice for just a 10" and 100 watt amp. The amp and sub are especially made for one another. The amp only has .7ohms which gives the sub a real clean sound and power. Thanks for your reply posted_image

posted_image Well sort of short sightedness on my part. The Thunderform come with a prefabed plug for the power, ground, and remote turn on. The ground wire in the plug wasn't placed in all the way and there for it was getting less than 1/2 the wires crimped at the plug side. You could only know this if the covering on the wire was pulled back to see what was going on. It happens alot to me when I get so focused on a problem some times I don't see or look at the obvious. Let all learn from me...look for the simple stuff the real simple stuff.
