Hello, I am installing an amp in an 05 G6 that is intended to replace the OEM amp as it is blown. The issue I have is getting a signal for the LOC from the radio. Any ideas on how I can get this signal. From my understanding and other reading, you need to hit speaker wires after the amp and not before. HELP!

you may not be able to but the only way that it might be possible would be to find the OEM signal wires that originally fed signal the factory amp and wire a set of RCA jacks to those wires to feed your new amp directly off of the factory outputs. one thing is sure, it probably wont work as good as the factory system because some of that is controlled through a data signal. ive never tried to do this on a newer monsoon system and i really dont think it will work because those systems require a data interface to install a new radio. maybe someone else has better information or a pin out and description of the factory signal wires.

I have never seen a deck in an OEM amplified application have enough voltage to drive an aftermarket amplifier.

It has been my experience that in these cases it is best to replace the radio with a quality unit that has the needed RCA pre-outs present. Much better results, no random squeals or popping.
