I'm working on a 2011 GMC Terrain. The system works fine, all speakers sound good, the stock subwoofer is dead. The fuse to the amp is good. I unplugged the 4 wire plug to the sub and get 1.7ohm per coil (I assume, going with the set of tabs for top and bottom left side and right side.) I wired a spare speaker into the factory plug and it does not play either. Is the stock amp bad or can I test something else? Thanks.

If the vehicle is not equipped with the Boss audio system and has the 2.4 litter engine, then the subwoofer is not used for the audio system. That speaker is then used for the active noise cancellation system. It uses 2 microphones the amp and that sub to reduce road and engine noise from the interior. This is a common concern for many owners.
