Just recently the wife decided to help me as I was trying to push the head unit back into the dash and she decided to pull on the wires in the back from underneath, will now my head unit wont power on. But it will power on when remote start is on. Once its off head unit turns off too. Any help will really help.

Thanks!

thats a very interesting set of symptoms you have there. no doubt there is something that got pulled loose, sounds like the problem might be at the ignition harness itself. possibly a wire got pulled out of the main connector because this is really the ony way to make sense of how the radio comes on during remote start only. what is the make model and year of the vehicle?

Chances are you blew the Radio fuse in the vehicle. The remote start unit provides ACC out and allows the radio to work under a remote start condition.

Remove the radio and find the wire that was pinched during the insertion of the deck. Insulate it if need be and replace the fuse.

To find the pinch point, follow the radio's red wire from the plug directly at the back of the unit and feel every inch of it as far as you can follow it, through the harness you purchased and even to the other side of the factory plug.

Yeah I am not sure. I checked all the wires and seems to be the same but than again, the previous owner did a horrible wiring job. my car is a 1994 honda civic

Alright I'll give that a try and also try to change the radio fuse and see if it works. Thanks!

Thanks for the help!

Got it to work. I had to replace fuse behind the head unit and under the dash.
