Hey everyone!
Im new to this forum but it seems like it can be very helpful to me.
I own a 2010 Mercedes Benz e350 and would like to install some subwoofers.
Im not an expert at doing this, but recently i have helped my friend wire his subwoofer into his rear speakers because thats what he wanted to do.
However, I think that if I were to wire up my car, it would be best to wire the subwoofers into the head unit, correct? or will it sound the same if I wired them into the rear speakers?
However, this new mercedes technology isn't just any old radio, it has the new COMAND station, exactly as shown in the pictures below.
Should I wire into the COMAND or should I wire into the rear/front speakers?
Thanks!

Is there a factory subwoofer in the rear deck of the car? If so, you will need to get signal from those wires. If it does not have a factory sub, you can catch signal from the front or rear speakers. If the rear speakers are in the rear deck, you should use the front speakers for input. There is probably a factory amplifier. You will not find any useable signal behind the radio.
Yea, if there's a factory sub then use that signal. If not, then tap the rear speakers with a good LOC and use the crossover in the subwoofer amp you'll be installing.

Sounds good. I forgot to include that it has an upgraded stereo from the factory, it has some harman kardon 7.1 system. This should mean it has a subwoofer.
However, I don't think that it would be in the rear deck.. is that common? I thought most subs in cars were in the door panels.
Thanks!
