I have 2 JBL P1022's mounted in a sealed box. Jbl does not offer a subwoofer grill for this model. Any ideas on creating some kind of custom grills? I was thinking of maybe trying the JL bars that go across their subs, but not sure if they will fit over the JBL'S huge frame. Maybe I can just get some metal bars bent at a machine shop or something? Any other ideas?

There are plenty of universal grilles on the market. If depth is an issue as in the sub has massive excursion, you could fab an mdf spacer to attach the grille to, giving you more depth.
