Hey everyone,

I own a ford contour SVT and just pulled out the deck. I have theses colors to work with and no Idea what they go to..

(x2) Black / green Stripe, Blue / Black stripe, Yellow / Red stripe, Yellow / Green Stripe, White, Orange / Black stripe.

The Black / Greens are grounds, the white wire goes the factory amp, so im assuming that its the remote... any help would be great...

What are you trying to do?  install an aftermarket head unit?  If so, PLEASE PLEASE use the integration harness!!! It will make your job so much easier.  First time I made the mistake of trying to hardwire and ended up messing up a whole bunch of stuff--and all because we didn't have the adapter in stock.

I believe the one you will be looking for is the FDK10, but obviously double check the plugs to make sure they look like they'll fit; if it's not the right one I'm sure you can find the correct one on the main integration harnesses section of that scosche web site. Each wire in the harnes is labeled so it makes it cake to install an aftermarket deck.  Of course all this is assuming that's what you're trying to do.....

I think blue/black is +12 volt switched, and ORANGE / black is +12 volts constant, but the other wires I'm not sure about.  If you decide not to use that harness, please at least verify these wires with a multimeter before hooking up to them.  And remember if you're trying to hook up the turn-on for an aftermarket amp you can always use the +12 volt switched wire (same wire that turns the radio on when the key is in the ACC or ON position).

Actually I would recommend doing that as opposed to using the factory amp turn-on, unless you test it with a multimeter and it checks out around 12 volts. Some of those fords use low voltage factory amp turn-on leads and thus if you used one of those it wouldn't work with the aftermarket amp.
