Okay so I have Install an avital 5103 with aftermarket door actuators Its been working great for about 9 months and all of the sudden it quit working I have replace the relays and fuses and somehow just the keyless entry quit working any help is appreciated.
It's install on 2004 Chevy Colorado like I said everything else still works great, alarm, and remote start works great.
Check the lock/unlock connector at the 5103. I had some issues with a 5701 where the wires were bent over too tight and would loose the contact. Just a thought.

can you tell if the relays are being activated but the locks just arent working? did you check the ground for the relays? if the ground came loose then nothing will work
I can not tell you how many of these non viper DEI units I have taken out of the box brand new and had all sorts of random things wrong. No door lock output, no ignition output, no starter output, bad remotes, bad antennas. This crap is hard enough without having to second guess whether the darn system is bad too.
Take the unit out and smell it around the door lock plug. If it smells burnt you will need a new unit. Otherwise it is time to unravel the tape and dig deeper.
Did your relays have spike suppression diodes installed? These units seem to be extra susceptible to those relay spikes.

To master and control electricity is perfection. *evil laugh*
No it didn't have any diodes at the relays but like I said I stop working all off the sudden and I'm pretty sure all connections are good I have replace the fuse and relays so I think it might be the avital brain.
I'll keep troubleshooting and let you guys know.
OK guys I got it figured out I ended up replacing all the wiring from relays to the actual actuators and the wires were a bit green and corroded
Thanks for all the help
what kind of diodes would be used for the door actuators? I'm about to install the Avital 5103L system in my 2004 4Runner.
