ok I have a alpine v60 and just got a 10 alpine swr d4 and I'm connected it to my amp. my amp is 4 ohm and the sub is 4 ohm I usually get 2 ohm subs but I got sent the wrong one and rather send it back I kept it now my question is I think I'm wiring it wrong because after using the bass at a third of the knob the amp goes Into protection and it's not hot then works later on after I turn the car off which is the correct way to wire it 2 ohm or 8

8 ohm.

Tho I'd wire it as a singe 4 Ohm for more power PROVIDED I don't overpower it.
