I know that DYohn knows about my previous DSP units, and I also know he wasn't a fan necessarily. Well, my second one died. Due to the drastically proprietary nature of the ALTOMobile gear, nobody can service them. Thus, I am in the market for a GOOD, clean, reliable, flexible, DSP replacement. I want stereo in, 3-way out (minimum) or (preferred) stereo with adjustable SW in, and 4-way out. Time delay, PC adjustability would be nice, and a LOT of true parametric EQ power.

I know JL had the Clean Sweep years ago... anything like that around now?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

What kind of problem does the old one have? If it has power or power supply problems it may be able to be repaired. Microprocessor problems probably not.

I'm expecting CPU problems. Low-intensity, SPIKY, random noise. Reminiscent of record pops. One channel mostly, occasionally lower-level in the other channel. I cannot tell 100% if it affects all three outputs, but it most definitely nails the right mid. An RCA cable swap does not re-direct it. I almost thought originally it was the iPod connector getting noisy, but even without iPod connected, noise persists.
