I have constructed an enclosure with the intent of using (2) 8" woofers. I am extremely space constrained and I ended up with only .55 cu ft instead of the .75 that I intended/needed.

I already have the two cutouts for the woofers. This enclosure involve steaming and bending wood and a lot of other time consuming techniques to accomplish...it has to stay; building a new box is out of the question.

I can use a single (more high performance) woofer to achieve my goals but I have the second mounting hole to deal with. I can cover it, but...

I would like to use a Passive Radiator in that spot but I know an 8" woofer should have a one-size-up PR (10" in my case).

Can I ADD a port to compliment and "grow" the PR to make up for,the PR and sub being equal size?

Bottom line: can a PR and port be used together to achieve good results? Has anyone ever done it? How to figure the math...whew...

Thanks!

Btw, I cannot simply make the remaining 8" hole into a 10" hole. There is absolutely no remaining free space. :-/
