Hi,

I would like to replace the RDC 200 from my VW Sharan 2007 (European model, I live in Europe) with Sony WX-GT90BT.
My problem (I'm a novice) is that I don't know how to wire the Sony WX-GT90BT, because it has a different connector compare to RDC 200.
My questions are about the power connector and not about the speakers and not about the CAN bus.
I will use an adapter to do the connections.

In the Sony-WX-GT90BT installation manual (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/445773/Sony-Wx-Gt90bt.html#manual) there is the power connector described:
1-not used, 2-not used,
3-not used, 4-yellow-continuous power supply,
5-blue/white striped-power antenna/power amplifier control(REM OUT), 6-ORANGE / White-switched illumination power supply,
7-red-switched power supply, 8-black-ground

In the RCD 200 wiring diagram there is the power connector described:
1-not used, 2-CAN bus+,
3-not used, 4-CAN bus-,
5-+U (thick, red), 6-not used
7-+SAFE (not thick, red with white stripe), 8-Ground

The only one obvious (for me at least) is the 8-black-ground.
I mean from the RCD 200, I will wire 8 to 8-black-ground (Sony).
I checked with a multimeter and 5 (RCD 200) is the continuous power supply. (I removed the fuse for the factory radio and 5 (thick, red) didn't had any voltage, so this one is intended for the radio).
With or without the radio fuse, 7 still had 12V. With or without the key, 7 still had 12V.
Of course I'm talking about the RCD 200.

1. Is it possible that the factory radio doesn't need a dedicated switched power supply and a switched illumination power supply because it's getting this information from CAN bus?
2. Where can I get a switched power supply and a switched illumination power supply for Sony?
3. If I will connect just 4 (yellow-continuous power supply) and 8 (ground) to Sony, will it work? I will have to turn it on and off manually, but will it work?

Could someone please help me?

Thanks
