I bought a cd player for my mom for her birthday to put in her Windstar since her factory one took a crap. I know its got premium sound so I bought the appropriate harness. I go to test it and I have power but no sound. There are 4 connectors not counting the antenae: one for power, one for rear control (don't care if it works), one for the speakers?, and one for the amp?. I was trying to use that amp bypass cable that came with my harness but only one of the cables will plug in. This is getting on my nerves so any help will be appreciated.

Which harness did you get? This one? If so, you have to run 8 speaker wires (positive and negative for each of the 4 channels) from the amp bypass plus to the aftermarket head unit. I coulda sworn they made a harness that already included about 18 feet of speaker wire on the end of that bypass plug, but I guess it's hard to obtain it.

It looks like the bypass I have but isn't there a way to use the amp?
