So I'm building a modest stereo for my 2015 f150 xlt. It has the myfordtouch screen and I don't plan on replacing it or adding any dsp.

Basically I'm going to replace the speakers and amp them utilizing high level inputs.

My question is I want to improve the sound but not spend more money that I won't hear. The amp I plan on using is the ppi 900.4.

With utilizing high level inputs would I likely hear a difference in quality from say a set of 6.5" component Polk db 6501 series ~$112 vs Polk mm6501 $210.

Spending an extra 100$ doesn't matter much to me but at the same time considering that I'm not changing out the factory head unit I don't want to just waste money.

The biggest impact on sound quality is always the speakers. Use the best you can afford.
