After a big hassle with an AudioControl DQDX unit I installed in my Jeep Wrangler last year, I finally determined I just had a defective one and got a replacement.

The replacement cured all of my original issues (loud static randomly coming from one of the rear speakers, etc.).

But now, I've got another question. I've noticed that although music generally sounds pretty good (the EQ adjustments I made with it are a notable improvement over bypassing it), I detect a bit of a digitized "robotic" sound to speech. A great example is when I take a cellular call over the hands-free bluetooth, or when a DJ starts talking on the radio. It sounds like some digital delay or other processing is happening that adds the undesirable artifacts to the sound.

I haven't found many people out there actually using this box from AudioControl, but would love input from anyone who is?

Thanks!

Hi kingtj -

The effect you are experiencing could be a result of the delay settings being set "too far" out. When you bypass the DSP, do you still have this effect? If you would like, please PM me and I can help you there or over the phone.
