Just brought the car and not happy with the 200 watt amp and 6 speakers. Had a guy tell me would have to put a whole new system in and sign a disclaimer in case the car's computer got messed up. Is it really this hard?! 28000 dollar car and I'm stuck with a factory roadio that doesn't cut it. Does any one here know if it is upgradeable and will it hurt my warranties?

Wow never heard the sign a disclaimer line, but there are a lot of rumors out there and trust me they are rumors. Its not that bad most people are either uneducated or make a bigger deal out of it then it really is. But to educate you a little your car uses GM's class 2 data bus system
https://www.velocitymotorsport.com/install_notes/OBDII.htm Now if all your doing is just replacing the head unit (radio) then you must use a relocation harness
https://autosoundgear.com/shop/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jopoenq8 The factory radio however dose not have a + switched 12 volt the aftermarket harness requires you to find a alternate source I like to tap directly into the ignition. If you tap into the ignition you will want to tap into the pink wire. But before I go into further detail is the radio the only thing you plan on upgrading or do you plan on amps speakers etc? Also some advice if a shop is telling you that you that the only way to do it is to put in a whole system, and that it could damage the computer then I would defiantly find another shop. And to answer your question no it will not void any warrantees.
No, replace whole unit. I want something much louder than what it came with. Thanks for the help

If you want something louder than I would suggest that you get a new amp and speakers as well. Replacing the head unit alone won’t make things that much louder. What is your budget?
Nice car.
